Here's something to think about: not speaking your father's language. Just as a child naturally learns and speaks their father's language, we are invited to understand and respond to the voice of God. While we may not always listen as we should, there is still a basic understanding.

Many of us have grown accustomed to not understanding the times we live in or recognizing what God is saying to us in each moment. But what happens when we lose touch with that understanding? With changes constantly happening around us and so many voices competing for our attention, it can feel overwhelming and confusing. This can lead to a sense of apathy, disconnection, or even anxiety as we struggle to find meaning. Yet, God's word is not hidden or mysterious.

God speaks to each of us in ways we can understand because He knows us better than anyone else and reaches our hearts in the best way possible.

John 10:27 KJV

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Reflecting on this, have you ever felt disconnected from God's guidance in your own life? If we can't understand what God is saying to us, that should make us pause. I truly believe it's important to know your father's voice. It can be worrying if you always need someone else to explain what God is saying to you.

As we keep this in mind, remember that the Holy Spirit is here to help and guide us every day. Sometimes, this guidance comes as a gentle nudge, a scripture brought to mind, a sense of peace that directs our steps or quietness that speaks directly to our heart. Take a moment to quiet your heart and listen for your Father's voice. We should strive to understand and speak our father's language.
