Ecclesiastes 1:9–11 reminds us: “That which has been is that which will be again… there is nothing new under the sun.”

The cycles stay the same, and the patterns do not change. If you look closely, you will notice that the foundations remain steady, even though the times are different. Life on earth is short; we are here today and gone tomorrow. The real question is, where do you stand in the middle of these repeating cycles?

History shows there are times when people drift from God and times when they return to Him. When people turn away, there is oppression, moral confusion, and excuses for all kinds of wrongdoing. Even in those times, God’s children endure, not because of their own strength, but because their lives rest on the solid foundation of Christ.

Then come the seasons of return — times of rest, growth, and restoration. Again, God’s people flourish, not by their own merit, but because of the One on whom their lives are built.

Do not grow complacent. Do not reduce the calling of a child of God to your own limited perceptions — that is deception, and it will cost far more than you imagine.

Instead, give everything to the Father. Let the Spirit guide you, even when His directions do not make sense to you. Trust Him to give you strength for the journey. You may not see what is ahead, but remember that He has already finished the work, and it will be wonderful when the time is right.

Father, help me to stand firm in every season. Keep my heart anchored in You, my trust rooted in Your Word, and my steps guided by Your Spirit. Give me strength to follow even when I cannot see the outcome, knowing You have already made it good. Amen.
