Have you ever found yourself rushing through a busy day, only to realize you've missed something important unfolding right in front of you? We can sometimes be in the right place at the right time, but still be engrossed in the wrong things. We can be overwhelmingly preoccupied with things we deem as important or necessary and miss out greatly on the will of God unfolding right before our own eyes.
These distractions are seemingly justified. It could be fatigue from everyday tasks or being preoccupied with the day's events—things that come naturally to us all. Yet in the midst of these moments, the Holy Spirit gently reminds us to refocus.
Philippians 4:13 KJV
[13] I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
We often quote this verse, but its significance deepens when we truly acknowledge our own limitations and allow Christ’s strength to sustain us in the routines of daily life.
Our strength has always been from the Lord and the provision made for us; we were never required to rely on our own energy or strength to do God's will. Instead, He invites us to depend on Him, especially in the midst of our everyday demands.
If you find yourself so overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life that living in the will of God feels out of reach, remember—His presence and purpose meet us right where we are. Sometimes, all it takes is a moment of pause to realign our hearts with His direction.
Remember, we are created to live life and live it more abundantly in Christ. Everyday circumstances will always vie for our attention, but God’s calling is often found in those very moments. Be attentive and open, so you don’t miss what God has for you right now.
Thank you, Father, for your provision towards us so as not to miss each moment in your will.
