We are constantly looking for a perfect life, a flawless moment where we can see God’s hand in motion. But the truth is, life already has complexities we will never be able to comprehend on our own. There’s a better way to live, and it’s found in a simple choice.

There comes a time you have to make that choice for yourself: either you live (simply choosing His word) or you spend your life trying to unravel the complexities of everything, which means missing out on life and spending each day in a battlefield, both in your mind and physically.

Let's simplify this to make it easy on us. There will always be two choices: a life with Him or a life without Him. That's it.

One choice takes you on a path of living every day resisting the urge to carve your own narrative and instead, aligning yourself with His. Life may never be as you have imagined or anticipated, but you make peace with it, knowing He's the source of knowledge so He knows best.

The other choice takes you on the path of carving your own narrative, trying to make sense of everything and being ruled by your ever-changing emotions. There's no grounding here, so you sway each day, carving your own story. You wake up one day to the realization that the years are spent, you have worked the fields tirelessly and yet there is no harvest. You are shocked because you know you did the work, so why doesn’t it translate to a harvest?

I have made my choice. I choose to make life simple and walk the path that has remained the same since the beginning of time. My confidence is that though I may not like some of the turns along the way, He's already gone ahead of me and holds my hand through it all. My time here on earth is limited, so it's worth living. I choose that over trying to make sense of life and missing out on living it.
