When your present needs and feelings influence your choices, you're building a life on an unstable foundation. Our needs and emotions will constantly change, so it's essential that they don't drive the decisions we make.
We need a grounded and unmovable foundation to guide our direction. This ensures we stay on course and remain centered at all times.
Think about a time you made a decision based on what was most pressing to you in the moment, only to find out later that it wasn't the best move. Sometimes the consequences are so great we become regretful and get stuck in the past, unable to move forward. (We can talk about living in the past at a later date).
A life of constant consequences isn't something we have to live with. It is avoidable. While you may encounter a few bumps along the way, it's not a required part of the journey.
We are blessed with the presence of God, who guides and leads us along the way.
